Job summary

FSC Civils Pty Ltd, based in Western Australia, seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead civil and structural delivery from the Perth base. You will own engineering outcomes across design coordination, cost management, planning, procurement, construction and handover, working with the Project Manager, site leadership, consultants and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 7+ years' relevant experience, including senior project engineering on civil and/or structural projects.
• Current Construction White Card and driver’s licence, and the right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil and structural packages — earthworks, foundations, reinforced concrete, structural steel, drainage, pavements and multidisciplinary interfaces — from design review through construction and handover.
• Coordinate consultants, contractors, subcontractors and internal stakeholders so approved scope is delivered to programme, quality, safety and budget.
• Manage technical deliverables: drawings, specifications, design reviews, RFIs, shop drawings, ITPs, non-conformances, field changes and as-built documentation.
• Resolve constructability, sequencing and interface issues on site, and identify practical value-engineering opportunities.
• Support procurement, short-term planning, cost control, forecasting, planning and contract administration, including variations.
• Uphold safety, quality and environmental standards, and mentor project and site engineers.
• Report progress, risks and issues clearly to project leadership.

Job description

FSC Civils Pty Ltd is looking for a Senior Project Engineer to lead civil and structural delivery from the Perth base. You will own engineering outcomes across design coordination, cost management, planning, procurement, construction and handover, working with the Project Manager, site leadership, consultants and subcontractors. The role suits someone who is comfortable on site and at the desk: technically sharp on concrete, structural steel, foundations and civil interfaces, and commercially aware enough to protect programme, cost and quality.

Key responsibilities

Lead civil and structural packages — earthworks, foundations, reinforced concrete, structural steel, drainage, pavements and multidisciplinary interfaces — from design review through construction and handover.

Coordinate consultants, contractors, subcontractors and internal stakeholders so approved scope is delivered to programme, quality, safety and budget.

Manage technical deliverables: drawings, specifications, design reviews, RFIs, shop drawings, ITPs, non-conformances, field changes and as-built documentation.

About you

Tertiary qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering, or an equivalent recognised in Australia.

7+ years' relevant experience, including senior project engineering on civil and/or structural projects. Mining, Bridges, Switch rooms, heavy industrial, infrastructure or commercial construction is highly regarded.

Sound grounding in earthworks, structural steel, reinforced concrete, foundations, drainage, pavements, durability and constructability.

Proven ability to manage consultants, subcontractors and stakeholders, with a working grasp of planning, risk, quality systems and commercial awareness.

Clear written and verbal communication.

Current Construction White Card and driver's licence, and the right to work in Australia.

Eligibility for Engineers Australia membership. Design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit or Civil 3D are useful but not essential.
