Job summary

Gemco Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team delivering a large, iconic project on the Central Gold Coast. You will work alongside a Senior Project Manager and a dynamic project team to drive technical and commercial outcomes from early stages through completion.

The role offers long-term stability on a multi-stage program over approximately five years, with exposure to major construction methodologies and active stakeholder engagement across consultants

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer.
• Experience working on major construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project sequencing.
• Excellent technical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a project team.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering and technical activities across the project.
• Manage RFIs, shop drawings, technical documentation and design coordination.
• Coordinate subcontractors and engineering interfaces.
• Assist with procurement and management of subcontractor packages.
• Monitor programme, quality and construction outcomes.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
• Support the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager with project delivery.
• Identify and resolve technical and construction issues.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of the project across multiple stages.

The project will be delivered across multiple stages over approximately five years, offering long-term stability and the opportunity to be involved in a significant development from an early stage through to completion.

You will work closely with an experienced Senior Project Manager and a dynamic project team, providing an excellent opportunity to develop your technical and commercial skills while working alongside experienced construction professionals.

About the Role

• Coordinate engineering and technical activities across the project
