Job summary

Fulton Hogan Ltd in Bunbury, WA seeks a Senior Project Engineer to oversee civil construction from conception to completion within Infrastructure Services. Based in Bunbury, you will coordinate a well-established team and report to the Construction Manager, delivering high-quality outcomes while maintaining strong client relationships.

You will lead project engineers, drive safety-first practices, and ensure programs align with contract schedules, budgets, and procurement.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering with infrastructure project experience.
  • Experience managing infrastructure projects up to $20m.
  • Knowledge of MRWA specifications desirable.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project engineering activities and ensure SWMS are implemented.
  • Prepare, review and manage project budgets, forecasts, reports, variations, and procurement packages.
  • Lead and mentor engineers and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ensure health, safety, environmental and quality requirements are met on civil construction sites.
  • Develop and analyse project programs and monitor performance against contract schedules.

Speak to our Talent Acquisition or People & Culture team to learn more.***What’s on offer:***We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to oversee civil construction projects from conception through to completion in our Infrastructure Services business.Based in Bunbury, and reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be instrumental in working within a well-established team to coordinate project activities whilst ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard and quality.As the Senior Project Engineer, you will build on our strong key stakeholder relationships within both the government and private sectors, and you will be empowered to lead and develop a team of Project Engineers to ensure successful project delivery within a safety-first culture.***What you'll do:**** Coordinate project engineering activities, and ensure Systems of Work are implemented through SWMS, Special Processes and Corrective Actions.* Ensure projects are adequately resourced taking into consideration project complexity, client requirements, and budget constraints.* Recommend/approve award of subcontract packages, ensuring best value through appropriate scoping, commercial conditions, and subcontractor selection.* Ability to prepare, review, and manage project documentation, including budgets, forecasts, reports, claims, variations, and procurement packages.* Sound understanding of health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements within civil construction.* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor engineers, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.* Develop, review and analyse project programs, to assess performance against the contract program, and ensure mitigation measures are implemented as required.* Understand the application of the EBAs, and ensure site compliance.***How you'll connect to the role:***You will have previous experience in managing projects to the value of $20m, and ensure contractual obligations are met, whilst maintaining positive client relationships. Your ability to show initiative to identify, and address issues before they arise, with the aptitude and flexibility for taking on new challenges will set you up for success. Your analytical ability in cost control, reviewing monthly project forecasts, and interrogating forecasting costs to complete as required, will be crucial to your delivery. You will possess a Degree in Engineering, coupled with proven experience in managing infrastructure projects.
