Job summary

Amida Recruit AU is assisting a growing boutique project management consultancy in Sydney to recruit an experienced Project Director / Associate Director. The role will lead delivery on multiple projects across Commercial, Hospitality, Retail and Education sectors, mentoring a small team and contributing to business development.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in civil engineering, construction management or similar.
• 7-15+ years’ client-side PM experience, with some head contractor exposure.
• Business development skillset.
• End-to-end project management experience from concept to completion.
• Exposure to program management and critical paths.
• Experience on varied building projects; commercial/fit-out experience is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite and procurement/contract forms (GC21, AS4000, AS4122, AS4902).

Responsibilities

• Procurement of designers, construction contractors and other specialists.
• Contracts administration and claims management.
• Management of regulatory approvals and design development processes.
• Exposure to various procurement models and contract types.
• Risk, issue and dispute management across projects.
• Delivery of project management services to clients within scope, schedule and budget.
• Scope development and tender submissions.
• Develop and maintain a strong network; deliver outstanding services.
• Maintain regulatory approvals and stakeholder liaison.
• Work in a live environment with safety as priority.
