Job summary

Amida Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Director/Associate Director to join its Sydney team. You will deliver projects across Commercial, Hospitality, Education and more, mentoring a small team of PMs while leading tendering and business development efforts to grow the practice.

Ideal candidates will bring 7–15+ years in client-side PM with head contractor exposure, and the ability to manage multiple projects end-to-end in a live operating environment.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in civil engineering, construction management or similar; 7–15+ years’ client-side PM experience, with some head contractor exposure.
• Business Development skillset.
• Proven end-to-end project management from concept to completion.
• Exposure to program management, timelines and critical paths.
• End-to-end PM on building projects; managing multiple smaller projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Procurement of design consultants, construction contractors and other specialist consultants.
• Contracts administration and claims management.
• Management of statutory approval and design development processes.
• Exposure to various construction procurement models and contract types.
• Issues, risk and dispute management.
• Delivery of project management services to client per agreed scope, schedule and budget.
• Scope development.
• Preparing tender submissions.
• Develop and maintain strong network and deliver outstanding services.
• Managing regulatory approvals.
• Design co-ordination.
• Stakeholder management and liaison.
• Working in a live environment (the buildings remain open during construction).
