Job summary

seek.com.au is seeking an experienced architect for the Lower North Shore of Sydney to lead projects across Healthcare, Commercial, Hospitality and Industrial sectors.

The candidate must be a graduate with an architecture and/or masters degree and possess 8–10 years of experience, including 3–4 years local. The role involves project leadership, design development, documentation and liaison with authorities, with flexible flextime options discussed.

The successful candidate must be a graduate with an architecture and / or masters degree with at least 8-10 years' experience, with 3-4 years' local experience.

Underthe guidance of a director the successful candidate will be responsible for;

• Project leadership and Project initiation
• Design responsibility and space planning
• Client and sub-consultant liaison
• Taking Briefs and developing strategies to complete the project
• Design Development
• Documentation for pricing, construction and certification
• Liaising with authorities and contractors during all stages of the project
• Auditing of existing buildings
• Drafting

To carry out these responsibilities the successful candidate will be required to have:

• - Excellent spoken, written and drawingcommunication skills (essential);
• - Working knowledge of local construction standards and practices (essential);
• - Working knowledge of theNational ConstructionCode (NCC)and Australian Standards (essential);
• - A minimum of 3-4 years' local experience working with a design practice (essential);
• - Comprehensive understanding of construction methodology and details
• - Architects Registration (preferred)
• - AutoCad, Photoshop, MS Office and 3D modelling and rendering skills (preferred)
• - Proof of full vaccination (essential)
• - Proof of qualifications (essential)
• - Proof of right to work in Australia (essential)

The successful candidate will have the assistance of support staff in completing their responsibilities and to this end must be able to demonstrate skills in working within an office environment.

The position offered is full time/ permanent and offers the opportunity forexpanded responsibilities.

We are located on the Lower North Shore of Sydney - close to public transport.

The salary package is negotiable and will be based on the successful candidates demonstrable skills and experience andcommensurate with market rates.
