Job summary

Spiral Architects Lab, a boutique architectural studio in Sydney, seeks a Graduate of Architecture with 1–3 years post-graduate experience in residential design. Join our Crows Nest studio to contribute to diverse projects, from concept to delivery, with a focus on timely production and collaboration with directors.

The role is full-time and based in our office; you will measure existing buildings, develop sketches, elevations and 3D models, and coordinate with consultants to support project

Qualifications

• 1–3 years post-graduate experience in residential architecture.
• Proficiency in ArchiCAD Version 27 or later is required.
• Solid design and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Understanding of various project stages from concept to delivery.
• Experience with measure-ups and building documentation.
• Knowledge of NCC, Australian Standards and related legislation.

Responsibilities

• Measure up and photograph existing buildings for alterations and additions.
• Prepare sketches, elevations, and 3D models for DA submissions.
• Develop documentation drawings for tender and construction certificates.
• Attend client and consultant meetings as required.
• Assist in organisation and coordination of consultants.
• Collaborate with directors and senior staff on assigned projects.

Spiral Architects Lab is a boutique, award-winning architectural studio located in the vibrant Lower North Shore of Sydney. Specialising in a diverse range of projects, from single residences to multi-residential developments and commercial works, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional design solutions.

Job Summary:

We are in search of a dynamic and talented Graduate of Architecture with 1-3 years of post-graduate experience in residential architecture. The successful candidate will join our team at our Crows Nest studio, contributing to the timely delivery of a wide variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure up and photograph existing buildings for alterations and additions
• Prepare sketch designs, elevations, and 3D models for DA submissions
• Develop documentation drawings for tender and construction certificates
• Attend client and consultant meetings as required
• Assist in the organisation and coordination of consultants as needed
• Collaborate with directors and senior staff on assigned projects

Must-Haves:

• Unrestricted working rights in Australia
• 1-3 years of post-graduate experience in residential architecture
• Proficiency in ArchiCAD Version 27 or later is a MUST
• Understanding of various project stages
• Excellent design and documentation skills
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in undertaking detailed measure-ups
• Demonstrated understanding of NCC, Australian Standards, and applicable legislation (DBP Act, SEPP65, relevant LEPs, and DCPs)

Working Arrangement:

This is a full-time position, and working from the office is a requirement.
