Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment partners with a prestigious Sydney architecture studio to appoint an experienced Senior Project Architect to lead multi-residential projects from design development through to completion.

The role emphasises leadership, mentor-ship, and close collaboration with clients, consultants and internal teams, delivering premium apartment developments on time and within budget. Flexible, design-focused culture with a competitive salary up to AUD 150k.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' Australian architectural experience.
• Experience delivering multi-residential apartments.
• Excellent Revit documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of multi-residential projects from DA through to construction.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Produce and review high-quality documentation and technical detailing.
• Ensure projects comply with Australian Building Codes and relevant standards.
• Manage project programmes, budgets, and deliverables.
• Mentor and support graduate and intermediate architects.
• Attend client meetings, site inspections, and contractor coordination meetings.
• Resolve design and technical challenges throughout project delivery.
• Maintain high design standards while ensuring commercial project outcomes.

I'm currently partnering with an award-winning architecture studio that has built an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality developments across Australia. Due to a strong pipeline of projects and continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Architect to play a key role in leading multi-residential projects from design development through to completion.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong architect who enjoys managing complex projects, leading consultant coordination, and mentoring junior team members while working on premium apartment developments.

The Role

As a Senior Project Architect, you'll take ownership of major multi-residential projects, ensuring exceptional design outcomes are delivered on time and within budget. You'll work closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams throughout every stage of the project lifecycle.

About You

• Registered Architect or working towards registration.
• 8+ years' experience within an Australian architectural practice.
• Strong background delivering multi-residential apartment projects.
• Excellent Revit documentation skills.
• Sound understanding of the NCC, Australian Standards, and local planning requirements.
• Proven experience coordinating consultants and managing project delivery.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
