Job summary

Canva is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to join the Production Engineering Group. You’ll own reliability work in large-scale distributed systems, embedded with product teams to shape production behavior.

As a software engineer, you’ll write production-grade code in Java/Go/Rust, improve efficiency, and collaborate to reduce incidents with faster recovery. This long-term embedded role spans Canva's high-risk domains.

Qualifications

• Production at scale with reliability ownership.
• Embedded delivery in product teams, not siloed.
• Proficient in Java/Go/Rust or similar at scale.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and patterns.
• Strong debugging of large codebases in production.
• Proven influence to improve systems without authority.
