Job summary

Swisse Wellness Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Product Development Associate for the ANZ team. You will lead end-to-end development of complex complementary medicines and foods, from concept to launch, ensuring scientific credibility, regulatory compliance, and commercial viability.

You will partner with Marketing, Science, Regulatory, Sourcing and Quality, as well as external contract manufacturers to deliver differentiated products on time, cost, and specification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in product development within complementary medicines, pharmaceuticals, or FMCG health & wellness.
• Demonstrated end-to-end delivery of complex NPD projects through a stage-gate governance process.
• Experience managing contract manufacturers and third-party suppliers through development, scale-up, and commercialisation.
• Track record of navigating TGA compliance requirements and working closely with Regulatory Affairs to secure listings and approvals.
• Proven ability to balance scientific rigour with commercial pragmatism and speed to market.
• Support the External Innovation function in evaluating emerging ingredients, technologies, and delivery formats.
• Lead optimisation of process and procedures for PD function

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical development of complex NPD and Existing product renovation projects across the Swisse ANZ portfolio and premium innovation launches.
• Partner with Science, Marketing and Innovation Insights to translate consumer briefs into technically feasible, differentiated formulations.
• Manage the technical relationship with contract manufacturers from RFQ through to first commercial production.
• Drive formulation optimisation to improve cost, stability, consumer experience, and supply resilience.
• Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs on ingredient permissibility, indications, label claims, and TGA submissions.
• Contribute to stage-gate governance forums, providing clear technical rationale and risk assessment.
• Support the External Innovation function in evaluating emerging ingredients, technologies, and delivery formats.
• Lead optimisation of process and procedures for PD function

Your role within the team

The Senior Product Development Associate is a key technical contributor within the ANZ Product Development team, responsible for the end-to-end development of highly complex complementary medicines & foods across the Swisse portfolio. The role leads the formulation, development, and commercialisation of NPD and EPD projects — from concept through to launch, ensuring products are scientifically credible, consumer-relevant, regulatory-compliant and commercially viable. The role partners cross-functionally with Marketing, Science, Regulatory, Sourcing, Quality, and external contract manufacturers to deliver differentiated products on time, on cost, and to specification.
