Job summary

Cipher Recruitment is seeking a Senior Product Analyst in Melbourne to own the analytics framework across core user journeys. You will deliver timely, actionable insights to drive retention, conversion, engagement, and revenue in a fast-paced digital product environment.

You’ll work with Product Operations, Campaign, and Leadership teams, building dashboards, monitoring KPIs, and performing advanced analyses. Mandarin speaking is a must, and hybrid work with Monday WFH is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in Product Analytics, Growth Analytics, or Data Analysis for B2C digital/mobile products.
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Excel and Power BI.
• Experience with product analytics platforms such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, or GA4.
• Knowledge of funnels, cohorts, retention, and experimentation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a product metrics framework with dashboards, KPI definitions, and automated alerts.
• Monitor daily performance and identify anomalies and trends.
• Conduct root-cause analysis on movements in conversion, retention, ARPU, payments and campaigns.
• Deliver weekly and monthly performance reports and deep-dive analyses for leadership.
• Perform projects such as funnel analysis, cohort behaviour, and campaign incrementality.
• Develop models including LTV, conversion paths, and churn prediction (SQL + Excel/Power BI; Python/R advantageous).
• Translate insights into prioritised business recommendations with stakeholders.
• Maintain consistent metric definitions and reporting standards across teams.
• Leverage AI tools to speed analysis and documentation.
