Job summary

Quantium in Australia is seeking a Senior Analyst in our Product Analytics team to design and deliver sophisticated analytics solutions. You’ll be a technical contributor collaborating with engineers, product specialists, and analysts across global teams.

This role lets you deepen technical expertise while taking on leadership responsibilities, contribute to team capability development, and influence analytics strategy and product roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, mathematics, statistics, computer science, physics, or a related quantitative field — or equivalent demonstrated analytical capability.
• 4–7 years of experience in data science, analytics, or similar technical roles.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL with experience handling complex data challenges.
• Good experience with a major cloud platform — Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, or Azure — and cloud‑based data processing.
• Solid understanding of data science methods including experimental design, feature engineering, and model development.
• Growing expertise in machine learning algorithms, statistical modelling, and their practical application.
• Familiarity with software engineering practices including version control, testing, and documentation.
• Strong problem‑solving approach with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Good communication skills for working with diverse teams across different time zones.
• Interest in supporting team members and willingness to take on coordination and leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and build sophisticated analytics solutions with growing independence, supporting Analytics Leads with solution architecture and technical decision-making.
• Develop analytics approaches that can be scaled and reused across different business contexts.
• Create detailed specifications for analytics work that engineering teams can implement.
• Take responsibility for significant components of analytics solutions including models, algorithms, and optimisation approaches.
• Work with complex datasets using cloud platforms and modern data engineering tools.
• Apply advanced data science methods with attention to quality and scalability.
• Use AI tools effectively to enhance analytical workflows and support team productivity.
• Support product roadmap delivery and ongoing operational requirements.
• Contribute to technical discussions about approach, effort estimates, and timelines.
