Job summary

Empire Group in Brisbane is seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to lead complex procurement activities across construction, capital works, maintenance and infrastructure projects. You will partner with project teams, shape procurement strategies, manage tenders, negotiations and governance, and mentor procurement professionals while delivering high-value outcomes for public infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Queensland Government PCP qualification.
• CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) qualifications.
• Relevant procurement, contract management or commercial certifications.
• Demonstrated experience operating within a government or regulated procurement environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement for construction, maintenance and infrastructure-related projects.
• Develop procurement and market engagement strategies for complex sourcing activities.
• Manage tender documentation, evaluation processes and contract negotiations.
• Provide high-level commercial and procurement advice to project and business stakeholders.
• Support project teams in managing procurement risks, timelines and delivery outcomes.
• Ensure strong governance, probity and audit compliance across procurement activities.
• Prepare executive briefings, reports and recommendations for senior decision-makers.
