Biffa Waste Services is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for an internal opportunity. You will lead process improvements across operations, using data and engineering expertise to boost safety, reliability and cost efficiency, while guiding engineers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include designing and documenting processes, managing projects, and ensuring compliance with health, safety and regulatory standards. Internal applicants only.

Competenze

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience in process engineering or a similar technical role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate data into improvements.
• Proven leadership of engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Solid understanding of engineering principles, drawings and process documentation.
• Knowledge of health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across teams.
• Proactive identification of opportunities and delivering measurable improvements.
• Full, current UK driving licence and willingness to travel to relevant sites.

Mansioni

• Lead identification, development and implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Analyse data to identify performance trends, root causes and bottlenecks.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and structured problem solving.
• Provide technical leadership on process design, optimisation and best practice.
• Develop and maintain process documentation including SOPs, P&IDs and specs.
• Ensure designs meet health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Lead projects involving process changes, equipment upgrades and new installations within timescales and budgets.
• Evaluate processes and propose innovative, pragmatic productivity improvements.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance and project teams to embed changes.
