Job summary

Ausenco in Brisbane is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team on complex mineral processing projects. The role involves leading process design, feasibility studies and commissioning support with opportunities to travel as required.

The ideal candidate has seven+ years in base metals, gold/copper ore or battery minerals processing, and strong communication and business development skills. This is a fulltime, on-site role with Ausenco's supportive culture.

Responsibilities

• Work in a multidiscipline project team and independently as required.
• Develop and review process design deliverables, reports, cost estimates and schedules.
• Contribute to multi-disciplinary engineering designs and feasibility studies.
• Provide site technical support and commissioning assistance.
• Deliver best practice technical solutions aligned with scope and standards.
• Support commissioning and operation teams as needed.

We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join us in Brisbane.

As part of our growth we are looking for a Senior Process Engineer to support recent business growth from our Brisbane office with the ability to travel as required and a commitment to, and enthusiasm for, working in a team environment.

About the role

The role requires the senior process engineer to be a self-starter and to have the ability to work within a multidiscipline project team as well as working on your own initiative. At Ausenco you will get the opportunity to work in areas including:

• Base metals, battery minerals or gold/copper ore processing work across all levels of studies, detailed engineering design and commissioning.
• Commissioning and operational work in concentrators.
• Prepare process design deliverables including reports, cost estimates and schedules.
• Contribute to the delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering designs and feasibility studies.
• Provide site technical support and commissioning assistance.
• Deliver best practice technical solutions in accordance with scope, schedules and standards.

About you

• Degree qualification in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of seven years’ experience in comminution, base metals, and/or gold/copper ore and battery minerals processing.
• Experience in delivery of Feasibility Studies, Detailed Engineering Design and EPCM projects.
• Experience in an engineering design office.
• Excellent business development skills.
• Strong problem solving and organisational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
