Job summary

Covalent Lithium is a fully integrated lithium mining and refining operation in Western Australia. The PCS Engineer will provide technical expertise as part of the reliability engineering function within the Fixed Plant maintenance team, delivering annual maintenance targets with zero harm.

The role focuses on DeltaV DCS performance, control loop development, diagnostics and continuous improvement. This is a permanent opportunity, on an 8:6 roster, with FIFO from Perth to our Mt Holland mine

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Fixed Plant maintenance and mineral processing.
• Experience in control system design, instrumentation, and automation.
• Working knowledge of Emerson DeltaV DCS is required.
• Capable of diagnostics, problem solving and implementing improvements.

Responsibilities

• Follow integrated processes to sustain equipment reliability and health.
• Maintain and improve control loops for stable plant performance.
• Diagnose control loop faults and debottleneck logic.
• Advise on temporary control system bridges while preserving safety.
• Understand production and maintenance strategies for large-scale processing.
• Identify risks to Fixed Plant performance and propose mitigations.
• Lead continuous improvement aligned with Operational Excellence.
• Contribute to a safety culture and adhere to health standards.
