Job summary

Worley is hiring a Senior Power System Engineer to join its Power Networks team in Australia. You will help deliver significant renewable energy and grid connection projects across NEM and WEM, working with wind, solar, BESS, and hybrid assets.

You will contribute to power system studies, regulatory submissions, modelling, and commissioning while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with regulators and NSPs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or power systems field.
• Experience with power system studies, grid connection processes or modelling.
• Familiarity with NEM/WEM is advantageous.
• Experience with PSCAD, PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Support grid connection activities from feasibility through generator registration and commissioning.
• Prepare and manage connection enquiries and applications and regulatory inputs.
• Coordinate and review power system studies and grid modelling with PSCAD, PSS/E or DIgSILENT PowerFactory.
• Support grid commissioning and GPS compliance activities and testing.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports and regulatory correspondence.
• Collaborate with internal teams for planning, coordination and risk management.
• Engage with regulators and network service providers to support stakeholder outcomes.
