Job summary

WSP is hiring in Australia for a Power Systems Engineer to shape the country’s energy future. You will work on HV design for substations, transmission and renewables projects, while developing models, studies, and reports across the full project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• RPEQ registration or eligibility to obtain registration.
• Experience in power systems projects: transmission, distribution, renewables.

Responsibilities

• Deliver HV primary design solutions for substations and transmission infrastructure.
• Develop and review power system models and technical reports.
• Undertake power system studies: load flow, fault level, stability, dynamic performance.
• Support due diligence, protection, SCADA, and HV cables design.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust, practical solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote Safety in Design principles.
• Participate in proposals, client engagement, and travel as needed.
