Job summary

WSP is shaping Australia's energy future by delivering HV/EHV substations and transmission infrastructure. An experienced Electrical Engineer will contribute to major projects from concept through construction in Australia.

You'll work with a multidisciplinary team on 132kV to 500kV systems, developing layouts, performing calculations, and supporting project delivery with senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4–8 years' experience delivering HV/EHV substation or transmission projects.
• Experience in power infrastructure or utilities sectors.
• Ability to prepare engineering calculations and design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and delivery of HV/EHV substations and transmission infrastructure from concept to detailed design and construction support.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical studies, specifications, and design documentation.
• Develop substation layouts, equipment arrangements, and primary design deliverables.
• Undertake conductor sizing, busbar sizing, short-circuit calculations, and equipment selection.
