Hunter Philips Executive Search is assisting a leading Australian engineering organisation specialising in high-voltage design, transmission, storage and related technology. They seek a Power System Engineer to deliver expert analyses, develop models, and present findings to clients across Australia’s power and energy sector.

You will manage multiple projects, collaborate with clients and sales teams, and ensure compliance with local regulations.

Qualifications

• You hold a degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience as an expert in power system analysis for grid connection, generation, transmission and distribution in Australia.
• Advanced user of power system software: PSS Sincal, PSS/E, DigSILENT, Python, PowerFactory, ETAP, PSCAD and other tools.
• Project management experience with a focus on client service across multiple projects.
• Knowledge/experience with planning and connection studies, including load flow and fault analysis.
• High attention to detail with strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with clients, delivering clear, result-focused outcomes.
• Ability to use innovation and initiative to provide positive client outcomes.

Responsabilités

• Provide support to multiple power projects across Australia.
• Perform analytical studies using power system analysis software.
• Develop power system models for generation, loads, and BESS per regulations.
• Define and present project plans, budgets and risks to clients.
• Support sales team with technical knowledge for client discussions.
• Generate models, studies and reports for network service providers (e.g., AEMO).
• Support project managers and bid coordinators to prepare proposals for new work.
