Job summary

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in power system analysis for grid connection, generation, transmission and distribution in Australia.
Strong knowledge of NEM grid connection processes and Australian standards.
Experience with modelling tools such as PowerFactory, PSCAD, PSS/E, Python.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Utilise PSCAD/PowerFactory/PSS/E/ETAP to develop grid models and assess performance.
Perform power system studies: load flow, short circuit, dynamic and transient stability.
Run simulations on system stability, fault ride-through and inverter-based resources.
Collaborate with electrical engineers to ensure seamless integration.
Contribute to project strategy, risk, and commercial decisions on grid compliance.
Monitor post-commissioning performance and derive improvements.
