Job summary

HHC Engineers is seeking a Civil Engineer with post-tension design expertise to lead projects from concept through to completion on the East Coast of Australia. You will deliver design documentation, calculations and drawings, maintaining QA procedures.

Qualifications

• Completion of a four-year Civil Engineering qualification accredited by Engineers Australia.
• Eligible for Membership of Engineers Australia (M.I.E.Aust) and Chartered status (C.P.Eng).
• 4–5 years’ experience in Post-tensioning design and engineering in Australia.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with proactive professional development.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver post-tensioning engineering projects from concept through to completion.
• Undertake post-tensioning design and engineering across a variety of projects.
• Prepare and review post-tensioning design documentation, calculations and drawings.
• Adhere to Company Quality Assurance Procedures and coordinate staff as required.
• Liaise with clients, builders and other consultants to resolve technical matters and provide solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and support staff.
• Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards and project requirements, while managing multiple projects.

Qualifications & experience

Tasks & responsibilities

Manage and deliver post-tensioning engineering projects from concept through to completion.

Undertake post-tensioning design and engineering across a variety of projects.

Prepare and review post-tensioning design documentation, engineering calculations and drawings.

Adhering to Company Quality Assurance Procedures.

Coordinate and review the work of engineers, designers and technical staff, providing technical guidance and support as required.

Liaise with clients, builders, architects and other consultants to resolve technical and project‑related matters and provide practical engineering solutions.

Provide technical advice and support throughout the design and construction stages, including attending site inspections when required.

Ensure designs and documentation comply with relevant Australian Standards, codes and project requirements.

Manage multiple projects while maintaining strong client relationships and delivering a high level of client service.

Provide technical guidance, support and mentoring to junior engineers and technical staff, and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes, standards and documentation.

Experience using one or more structural engineering software packages, such as RAM Concept, RAPT and INDUCTA.

Please note: Post-Tension design experience is essential for this position.
