Aruma is seeking an experienced Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner to lead best-practice Positive Behaviour Support and mentor the PBS team. You will help people with disability live fulfilling, independent lives by providing high-quality, evidence-based behaviour support.

You will collaborate with participants, families and stakeholders to reduce restrictive practices and promote inclusion, dignity and human rights within a supportive PBS team environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Behaviour Support Practitioner with NDIS Commission.
• Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, OT, Behavioral Science, Counselling or related field.
• Strong knowledge of NDIS Quality and Safeguards and PBS Capability Framework.
• Experience reducing restrictive practices and leading others.

Responsabilités

• Develop, implement, and review Positive Behaviour Support Plans per NDIS requirements.
• Conduct comprehensive behavioural assessments and functional analyses.
• Support families, carers and staff to apply effective strategies.
• Lead complex cases with challenging behaviours and restrictive practices.
• Provide clinical guidance, mentoring and support to PBS Practitioners.
• Deliver training and capacity-building for internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor outcomes and make evidence-based recommendations for improvement.
• Advocate for person-centred, dignified, inclusive practice and human rights.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve meaningful participant outcomes.
