Job summary

Ability Action Australia is seeking a dedicated Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner in Adelaide. Join a vibrant team delivering person-centred PBS services to NDIS participants across South Australia, with a multidisciplinary, supportive culture and opportunities for career growth.

You will work with a diverse caseload, develop and review behaviour support plans, and collaborate closely with Occupational Therapists and Speech Pathologists to achieve meaningful participant outcomes.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in an allied health discipline (desirable).
• Experience delivering Positive Behaviour Support services within the NDIS environment.
• Strong report writing, assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent time management and organisational abilities.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload while maintaining high-quality participant outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional behavioural assessments and develop person-centred behaviour support plans.
• Deliver evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support services to NDIS participants and their support networks.
• Develop, implement and review behaviour support plans within complex support environments.
• Work collaboratively to reduce and eliminate restrictive practices in line with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission framework.
• Set meaningful goals and develop practical strategies that build participant capacity and independence.
• Support families, carers and support teams to confidently implement behaviour support strategies.
• Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists and other stakeholders to achieve positive participant outcomes.
• Mentor and support junior Behaviour Support Practitioners where appropriate.
