Job summary

PLS is seeking a casual Civil/Structural Engineering Leader in West Perth to oversee design, procurement, construction and handover of the Port Inload Shed and related works. You will lead multiple consultants and contractors, ensuring safe, compliant and cost-effective delivery in a cyclonic port setting.

As a senior engineer, you will manage design reviews, field changes and as-built documents while coordinating with Pilbara Ports and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Significant civil/structural experience with senior project leadership across design and construction.
• Experience delivering heavy industrial, mining, port or bulk materials handling infrastructure, ideally in cyclonic or coastal environments.
• Strong technical capability across structural steelwork, reinforced concrete, foundations, drainage and interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil and structural engineering delivery for Port Inload Shed and associated infrastructure across design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate consultants, contractors and stakeholders to deliver scope, schedule, quality, compliance and budget outcomes.
• Review and manage technical deliverables, drawings, specifications, design reviews, RFIs, field changes and as-built documentation.
• Ensure designs and construction activities are safe, compliant and fit for purpose in a cyclonic port environment.
• Provide safety leadership, support risk reviews and ensure contractor compliance with project HSE plans.
• Prepare clear engineering plans, reports and decision papers supporting procurement, contract administration and project delivery.
