Job summary

Victoria Police is seeking two VPSG-5 Senior Policy/Projects Advisors in Melbourne to lead policy analysis and legislative proposals across family violence, sexual offences and child abuse. You will develop strategic policy proposals, engage stakeholders and coordinate whole-of-government reforms.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in policy and legislative development and service delivery reforms.
• Experience in family violence, sexual assault or child abuse policy areas.
• Strong ability to conduct complex research and provide authoritative advice.
• Proven ability to manage multiple pieces of work under tight timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Develop policy analysis, advice and support across family violence, sexual offences and child abuse themes.
• Develop advice on cabinet submissions, legislative changes and government policy proposals.
• Support coronial proceedings including witness preparation.
• Lead and deliver key projects implementing policy and legislative changes.
• Engage external and internal stakeholders to support divisional aims.
