Job summary

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, authoritative advice to departmental senior executives and the government on policy issues and delivery of priorities.
• Lead a project and direct policy officers to prepare policy products including Cabinet submissions and regulatory documents.
• Apply advanced legislation/policy expertise to manage policy agenda and coordinate interdependent projects.
• Build a positive team culture aligned with VPS values and collaborate with colleagues across the organisation.
• Contribute advanced expertise to strategic planning and decision making.
• Initiate and manage stakeholder consultations to gain commitment to policy agenda and delivery timelines.
