Job summary

You will provide strategic guidance on complex matters, support reform projects, draft documents, and advise staff and agencies while engaging with stakeholders and monitoring emerging issues for the State.

Qualifications

• Strong government or private practice experience in constitutional and administrative law.
• Understanding of legislative processes and cabinet/legal requirements.
• Experience developing primary and subordinate legislation and leading reform projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality legal and legislative advice across the Department.
• Support legislative reform, reviews and drafting of legal documents.
• Conduct research and analysis and advise staff and agencies.
• Manage stakeholder interests and identify emerging issues for the State.
