You will direct major legislation projects, draft Cabinet submissions, and coordinate with staff and stakeholders, delivering outcomes within timelines and budget.

Formación

• Knowledge of public policy, law and procedure with focus on consumer affairs, renters and local government.
• Experience leading complex policy projects in government or legislative contexts, including drafting legislative instruments and regulations.
• Ability to communicate with impact, tailoring messages to decision-makers and diverse audiences.
• Ability to collaborate across teams, foster inclusive collaboration and remove barriers to communication.

Responsabilidades

• Provide high quality, authoritative advice to senior executives and government on policy issues and priorities.
• Lead projects and direct policy officers to prepare policy products including Cabinet submissions, Parliamentary documents, reports and regulatory guidance.
• Apply advanced policy expertise to manage policy agendas, risks, and interdependent projects with stakeholders.
• Collaborate to build a positive team culture aligned with VPS values and innovation.
• Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making processes.
• Initiate and manage stakeholder consultations and negotiations to gain commitment to policy agendas.
• Work with colleagues across Regulatory Policy in a flexible working model.
