Job summary

CNFiTech Engineering in Sydney is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to design, program, test, commission, and support PLC and SCADA systems on industrial and utility projects. You will lead project delivery from design to handover, coordinate FAT/SAT activities, and work with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve reliability, safety and performance goals.

Regular site attendance for commissioning, inspections, and performance assessments will be required, with emphasis on stakeholder

Qualifications

Experience designing, building, testing, and commissioning PLC/SCADA systems on industrial projects.
Strong knowledge of Siemens S7 (Step7, TIA Portal) and Schneider M580 platforms.
Experience with ClearSCADA / GeoSCADA and reading electrical drawings.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

Design, program, test, commission, and support PLC and SCADA systems.
Manage automation projects from design through commissioning and handover.
Develop control system designs, specifications, requirements, and documentation.
Analyse plant performance to identify improvements in automation and reliability.
Coordinate FAT, SAT, testing, commissioning, and site activities.
Provide technical leadership and support project delivery from concept to operation.
