Job summary

Hawkesbury City Council in Windsor, NSW is seeking a Planning professional to manage major Development Applications and lead Land and Environment Court proceedings. You will help drive business improvements and mentor a high-performing planning team to deliver superior customer service.

The role requires extensive NSW Planning experience, strong written and verbal communication, and a pragmatic, solution-focused approach to prioritising complex tasks in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• This role requires tertiary qualifications in Urban Planning or equivalent.
• Extensive experience with NSW Planning system and complex Development Applications.
• Experience negotiating with applicants to achieve high-quality planning outcomes.
• Proven ability to mentor staff and drive improvements in DA contexts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for complex matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage major and complex Development Applications and lead DA processes.
• Take a lead role in Land and Environment Court proceedings.
• Assist with driving business improvement within the Development Assessment team.
• Mentor and coach staff to ensure high performance and great customer experience.
