Job summary

Technical Resources is seeking an experienced Senior Pipeline Engineer for a major Western Australia project, with an initial 3 months in Perth to support tender activities and planning, followed by a 6‑month site-based assignment overseeing a 25 km underground 1050DN steel pipeline installation.

The role covers full lifecycle delivery, from planning through to construction, commissioning and handover, requiring hands-on leadership, strong engineering judgment and effective communication with

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Civil or related Engineering discipline.
• Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale pipeline construction projects.
• Strong understanding of underground steel pipeline installation methodologies.
• Experience working with construction contractors and site teams.
• Ability to manage technical, quality, safety and schedule outcomes simultaneously.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate pipeline construction activities throughout project delivery.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications and engineering documentation.
• Support tender evaluations, engineering reviews and construction readiness activities.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, project managers and stakeholders to resolve technical and construction issues.
• Monitor contractor performance, construction progress, quality outcomes and compliance requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure works comply with standards and project specs.
• Assist with procurement activities and inspection of materials and equipment.
• Maintain project documentation including red-line markups, testing records and as-built drawings.
• Identify project risks and schedule impacts, implementing practical solutions.
• Provide technical support during construction, commissioning and handover.
• Promote and participate in HSE initiatives.
