Job summary

Civil Mining and Construction (CMC) is seeking a Senior People & Culture Advisor to support leaders and employees across the business. This hands-on role combines employee relations, advisory support, process improvement and lifecycle administration.

You will independently manage employee relations matters, ensuring documentation, systems and processes are robust to support high-quality P&C service delivery within a Queensland-based civil contractor environment.

Qualifications

• Senior experience in a People & Culture advisory role.
• Proven ability to manage performance, conduct, grievance and investigations with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
• Experience preparing employment correspondence, investigation documentation and employee records.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary day-to-day P&C contact for leaders and employees.
• Provide practical, commercially focused advice on performance, conduct and attendance.
• Independently manage routine to moderately complex employee relations matters.
• Conduct workplace investigations and fact-finding activities.
• Prepare investigation findings and employment-related correspondence.
• Coordinate onboarding, transfers, promotions, remuneration reviews and offboarding.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR data systems.
• Collaborate with Payroll and leaders to ensure accurate data handling.
