Job summary

CPB Contractors in Brisbane is seeking a Senior People & Culture Advisor to partner with project leadership, delivering strategic HR support across a major infrastructure program and guiding workforce planning and engagement throughout the project lifecycle.

You will handle employee relations, recruitment guidance, and change initiatives on a fast-paced construction site, with initial Brisbane base and potential regional travel or FIFO arrangements.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a Senior HR Advisor or People & Culture Advisor role on major infrastructure, construction, engineering or project-based environments.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, industrial relations, employee relations processes and relevant awards or enterprise agreements.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence leaders in a fast-paced operational setting.

Responsibilities

• Partner with project leaders and managers to provide practical People & Culture advice across employee relations, performance management, workforce planning and organisational change.
• Manage complex employee relations matters, including investigations, grievances, disciplinary processes and interpretation of employment legislation, awards and enterprise agreements.
• Lead and support initiatives in talent management, succession planning, employee engagement, retention and leadership development.
• Provide guidance on recruitment, onboarding, workforce mobilisation and resource planning for project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies and employment legislation while identifying opportunities to improve people processes and workplace culture.
