You will oversee governance, compliance and continuous improvement while guiding a specialist team to deliver accurate remuneration services.

This role demands strategic leadership, deep payroll expertise and the ability to optimise processes, mitigate risk and support a diverse workforce across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing payroll operations in a large organisation.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation and superannuation.
• Proven governance, risk management and audit experience.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll, superannuation and employee benefits, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with legislative, regulatory and audit requirements.
• Maintain strong financial controls and oversee complex payroll matters, including overpayments, salary advances and superannuation payments.
• Advise on complex remuneration issues, payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation, salary packaging and employee benefits.
• Coach and mentor staff, build capability and foster a high-performing, customer-focused culture.
• Review and enhance payroll processes, systems and procedures to improve efficiency, service quality and risk management.
• Ensure timely financial reporting and compliance with superannuation fund performance requirements; and
• Contribute to reviews of salary packaging arrangements, remuneration frameworks and related business strategies.
