Job summary

u&u Recruitment Partners is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to own end-to-end payroll in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Queensland.

Work from Beenleigh or Eight Mile Plains with up to one day WFH, joining an established payroll team to ensure accurate, timely payroll processing.

The role offers a hands-on payroll focus within a supportive team and includes a meat allowance and short-term incentive bonus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years payroll experience.
• Strong numerical and detail orientation.
• Experience interpreting awards, EBAs and payroll calculations.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a team.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Processing end-to-end payroll, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
• Maintaining employee records, timesheets, rosters and time and attendance data.
• Interpreting awards, EBAs and relevant legislation.
• Managing payroll queries, investigating discrepancies and resolving issues.
• Calculating earnings, overtime, allowances, deductions and workers compensation payments.
• Preparing payroll reports and supporting internal and external audits.
• Monitoring payroll outcomes to identify unusual earnings patterns and ensure compliance.
