Job summary

Randstad is partnering with a world-leading healthcare innovator to recruit a permanent Payroll Analyst with NZ payroll expertise. You will join a small, close-knit finance team and support bi-weekly payroll processing for ~200 NZ-based employees. Hybrid office setup in Sydney with flexible scheduling.

You will help with a Workday Timekeeping rollout, advise on payroll process design, and resolve employee queries while contributing to system transformations and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Clear, exceptional verbal and written communication skills essential; able to explain payroll workflows to stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven end-to-end, in-house payroll processing experience across multi-entity frameworks.
• Strong practical understanding of New Zealand payroll legislation and compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Take initial ownership of processing a fortnightly New Zealand manufacturing payroll for ~200 employees, ensuring NZ legislation and contracts are followed.
• Support a brand-new Workday Timekeeping rollout with User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Assist with payroll process design, operational readiness activities, and data mapping ahead of a new system go-live.
• Act as the third core member of the team, expanding beyond payroll to support employee wellbeing and special projects.
• Resolve internal employee queries confidently and explain complex processing steps and policies clearly.
• Exposure to system migrations, software testing, or project readiness activities is advantageous.
