Job summary

SSP Australia is seeking a Senior Payroll Officer to join our team in Sydney CBD. You will deliver accurate end-to-end payroll across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring compliance with awards, agreements and company requirements.

You will work with the Payroll & People Services Manager and Payroll team, providing payroll expertise and supporting reporting and system improvements. Key responsibilities include processing NZ weekly and AU fortnightly payroll, handling changes, validations, and

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years' payroll experience in a medium to large organisation.
  • Experience processing end-to-end payroll in a complex environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Awards, Enterprise Agreements and payroll legislation.
  • Experience with reconciliations, reporting, audits and compliance.
  • Strong Excel, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Senior Payroll Officer – Sydney CBD (SSP Australia)
About the Role

SSP Australia is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join our team based in Sydney CBD. This role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely end-to-end payroll across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring compliance with legislation, Awards, Enterprise Agreements and company requirements.

You will work closely with the Payroll & People Services Manager, Payroll team and key stakeholders, providing payroll expertise, supporting compliance and reporting, and identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes and systems. Experience with IntelliHR, Humanforce and Payroll Metrics will be highly regarded

Key Responsibilities
