Job summary

Industry Talent Pty Ltd, based in Maroochydore, is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead the end-to-end payroll for Australia and New Zealand. You will own payroll processes, ensure compliance with awards and legislation, and partner with Finance, HR and operations to drive improvements.

Based at the Sunshine Coast head office, you will manage a small payroll team, support growth across markets and continuously enhance payroll systems and controls within a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Strong end-to-end payroll experience.
• Previous experience managing or leading a payroll function.
• Experience within a multi-site or high-volume environment.
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards and compliance.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong systems capability.
• Hands-on approach and willingness to get involved.
• Experience with New Zealand payroll will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Managing end-to-end payroll across Australia and New Zealand.
• Overseeing payroll for a large, multi-site workforce.
• Leading and supporting a small payroll team.
• Ensuring accurate and timely processing of weekly and fortnightly payrolls.
• Managing superannuation, PAYG, payroll tax and statutory obligations.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant awards, legislation and employment requirements.
• Managing payroll reporting, reconciliations and month-end requirements.
• Working closely with Finance, HR and operational teams.
• Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes, systems and controls.
