Job summary

Are Media is seeking a Senior Payroll Services Officer to run end-to-end payroll for Australia and New Zealand. You will work with the Payroll Services Manager in a small team to ensure accurate, on-time payroll in line with legislation and awards.

You’ll provide day-to-day guidance, support process improvements, and strengthen payroll compliance across the business. Chris21/iChris experience is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in a medium-to-high volume payroll environment.
• Strong knowledge of Australian and New Zealand payroll legislation, taxation and superannuation.
• Experience interpreting Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records including starters, terminations, changes and entitlements.
• Deliver payroll reporting and reconciliations, including GL and month-end/year-end reporting.
• Provide technical guidance and support process improvements and escalation for complex payroll matters.
