Job summary

KPMG Australia is seeking an experienced Payroll Operations Manager to lead a portfolio of clients and oversee end-to-end payroll services for local and international organisations.

In this role, you will drive accuracy, compliance and efficiency, mentor a team, and support payroll transformation initiatives while collaborating with senior leaders to deliver innovative payroll solutions.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Australian payroll processing and compliance.
• New Zealand payroll experience is required.
• 10+ years experience managing payroll operations.
• Experience in payroll outsourcing is highly regarded.
• Advanced Excel skills for reporting and analytics.
• Bachelor's degree and payroll-related certifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee weekly, fortnightly and monthly end-to-end payroll processing.
• Review outputs for accuracy, compliance and timely delivery.
• Lead payroll consulting engagements and process improvements.
• Mentor and develop junior team members.
• Collaborate with the broader Workforce Advisory practice to drive growth.
• Maintain and reconcile superannuation details and statutory obligations.
