Job summary

Absolute Payroll is seeking a Payroll or Senior Payroll Officer in Adelaide to own end-to-end payroll, ensure accuracy, compliance and timely reporting, and act as the trusted go-to for all things pay.

Join a small team in a central CBD office with flexible hours, 5 days in the office, and opportunities to mentor junior staff while supporting audits, reconciliations and finance system integrations.

Qualifications

• End-to-end payroll processing experience.
• Experience with payroll reporting and reconciliations.
• Ability to work with internal/external auditors and implement changes.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll for a small team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports.
• Handle month-end/year-end reconciliations between payroll and finance systems.
• Deliver payroll tax filings and superannuation reporting.
• Support audits and liaise with agencies and auditors.
• Mentor junior staff and implement process improvements.
