Job summary

Absolute Payroll is seeking a Payroll Officer to join our client’s payroll team in Sydney. The role focuses on high-volume end-to-end Australian payroll across multiple entities, with a strong emphasis on accuracy in Awards, super, tax and compliance.

You’ll be part of a payroll-first culture with autonomy from HR and Finance, contributing to a brand-new payroll system rollout and ongoing process improvements. This is a hybrid role with on-site offices and one day WFH after three months.

Qualifications

• 3/5+ years of end-to-end Australian payroll experience (large/complex environment highly regarded).
• Solid understanding of Awards, super, tax and payroll compliance.
• Great attention to detail and a genuine passion for getting things right.

Responsibilities

• Process a high volume end-to-end payroll for a multi-entity operation.
• Handle Awards interpretation, leave, super, tax and terminations with accuracy and care.
• Support fortnightly and monthly payroll cycles, on time, every time.
