Job summary

Vinarchy in Adelaide is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our People & Communications team on an 11-month fixed-term contract. You will deliver timely payroll processing across weekly, fortnightly and monthly cycles, while partnering with Finance and operations.

We value accuracy, compliance with awards and legislation, and strong Excel and stakeholder management. The role is based in Adelaide with flexible work options up to 2 days from home.

Qualifications

• At least three years’ payroll processing experience within a medium to large organisation.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation and employment obligations.
• Experience using payroll and time and attendance systems and strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end payroll accurately across weekly, fortnightly and monthly cycles.
• Maintain payroll records and process new starters, changes, transfers and terminations.
• Calculate adjustments, deductions, overtime and back pays with accuracy.
• Respond to payroll queries and provide timely support to employees and managers.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, awards, contracts and company policies.
• Prepare payroll reports and assist with month-end reconciliations and leave liability.
• Support PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax and workers' compensation obligations.
• Contribute to payroll process improvements and system enhancements.
