Job summary

Western Sydney Local Health District seeks a Senior Occupational Therapist to lead advanced practice in the RAID-ED team at Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals. The role focuses on preventing avoidable admissions, enabling early discharge and improving patient flow.

You will work 20 hours per week in a temporary part-time capacity, with regular Friday and Saturday shifts and roster flexibility to meet service needs. NSW registration and AAOT-NSW approval are required.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma recognised by AAOT-NSW.
• Current Registration as an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, specialised occupational therapy assessment and intervention in the Emergency Department.
• Identify barriers to discharge and coordinate supports for safe, timely patient decisions.
• Lead clinical education, supervision and ongoing development of OT practice.
