Job summary

Regis Resources Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Mining Engineer (Surface Mining) to join the Open Pit Technical Services team. You will lead mine planning, optimisation and deliver plans aligned with production goals, working with operational and contractor teams to achieve safe, efficient outcomes.

You will mentor engineers, drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to budgets and forecasts while ensuring compliance with safety and company standards.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in a Senior Mining Engineer or technical leadership role.
• Extensive open pit mining experience in hard rock operations.
• Proficient with Deswik and related planning tools.
• Strong scheduling, drill and blast optimisation and operational planning.
• Good knowledge of WHS and mining industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of short- and medium-term mine plans.
• Manage rolling plans, schedules and forecasts to maximise value.
• Provide technical leadership to engineers and graduates.
• Monitor contractor performance and alignment with plans and budgets.
• Review and optimise drill and blast designs and fragmentation.
• Oversee pit, dump, haul road and dewatering designs for operational needs.
