Glencore’s Mt Owen/Glendell Operations (MGO) seeks a Mining Superintendent – Drill and Blast to lead drilling and blasting activities, drive safety, productivity and team performance at the Hunter Valley site in NSW. Monday–Friday, dayshift, reporting to the Mining Manager.
You will oversee supervisors, employees and contractors, ensure adherence to policies, and deliver results while maintaining high safety standards and operational discipline.

Mt Owen/Glendell Operations (MGO) is an open cut mining operation which utilises truck and excavator mining methods to produce thermal and semi-soft coking coal, which is predominantly exported for power generation and use in steel production. We are located within the Hunter Coalfields at Hebden in the Upper Hunter Valley of New South Wales.
An opportunity exists for an experienced and committed Mining Superintendent – Drill and Blast at MGO. Reporting to the Mining Manager this position is Monday to Friday, dayshift only and is accountable for leading MGO’s high performing work teams (including Supervisors, Employees and Contractors). Your ability to drive for results, effectively communicate and lead a team is paramount. This position requires multitasking and the following of all policies and procedures implemented and maintained in accordance with the Glencore Management Framework.
