Job summary

Glencore Australia is seeking a Senior Mining Supervisor for Bulga Open Cut, near Singleton NSW. You will lead a large mining team, mentor supervisors and drive production safely in a challenging open cut coal environment.

The role requires a Certificate of Competency and proven leadership across complex mining operations, with a focus on health, safety and environmental stewardship.

Qualifications

• NSW Open Cut Examiners Certificate of Competency (current practising certificate).
• Experience in open cut coal environments.
• Proven leadership capabilities with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

The role:

• Provide leadership & direction to a high performing mining team
• Mentoring of supervisors and up & coming step ups
• Ensure health, safety and environmental awareness
• Coordinate mining activities to optimise production
• Provide technical guidance in complex mining areas

About you:

• NSW Open Cut Examiners Certificate of Competency & current practicing certificate
• Extensive experience in open cut coal environment
• Experience in a complex mining situation such as steep dipping seems and underground workings
• Proven leadership capabilities and ability to lead a diverse team
• Ability to build and foster strong working relationships across all departments
