Job summary

The Department of Government Services (DGS) in Melbourne seeks a Senior Adviser, Organisational Development to lead strategic OD initiatives that strengthen organisational capability, leadership, culture and performance.

You will work in a fast-paced shared services environment translating workforce insights into practical solutions while collaborating with diverse stakeholders to deliver positive workforce outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in strategic workforce planning and diversity, equity and inclusion (including gender equality).
• Ability to translate workforce insights into practical, evidence-informed solutions.
• Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders to deliver workforce outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support strategic organisational development initiatives to improve effectiveness and performance.
• Manage whole-of-organisation OD programs aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee the People Matter Survey and report to senior executives with recommended actions.
• Leverage workforce data and stakeholder engagement to diagnose issues and inform decisions.
• Provide research and advice on trends in organisational development and workforce priorities.
• Monitor OD initiatives and advise people leaders with relevant data and guidance.
• Provide strategic change management advice and foster cross-department partnerships.
• Collaborate with the broader team to tailor advice to business needs and stay current with OD best practice.
