Job summary

Home Group is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to support customers with complex needs, helping them grow independence and confidence. You’ll assess, plan, and deliver person-centred interventions, working with a multidisciplinary team across services, including supported accommodation, to drive safe, effective outcomes.

You will lead on service improvements, maintain strong professional standards, and collaborate with nurses and behavioural specialists to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Occupational Therapist with experience working with complex needs such as learning disabilities, autism, or mental health conditions.
• Ability to carry out thorough assessments and develop evidence-based interventions, translating clinical expertise into real-life outcomes.
• Person-centred and strengths-based approach, focusing on customer goals and independence.
• Confidence in risk assessment and management, balancing safety with autonomy.
• Excellent communication skills with customers, families, carers and colleagues across disciplines.
• Curious and forward-thinking mindset to improve practice and share knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Carry out in-depth assessments and interventions to help customers build skills and independence.
• Provide clinical guidance to colleagues to support safe, effective day-to-day care.
• Design and deliver personalised interventions, including positive behaviour support plans.
• Collaborate with professionals such as nurses and other OT colleagues as part of a joined-up team.
• Balance your caseload across services, including Ofsted-registered supported accommodation.
• Lead service improvements and contribute to practice development.
